Majella is one of several international sopranos in the bel canto style who will feature during the course of this series.
The Callas Lounge resonates with the presence of Maria Callas. It was here that she vocalised and rehearsed her music on a daily basis whilst aboard the 'Christina O'. The walls are adorned with precious memorabilia of Maria, including her only gold record, her favourite portrait of herself and of course the infamous Elsa Maxwell letters.
Accompanied on a period Steinway grand piano this recital evokes the era, the artistry and the fascinating story of what many believe to have been the world's greatest soprano.
