"In Monte Carlo where the cruise began I was very impressed by his charm but above all by his powerful personality and the way that he would hold everybody's attention. Not only was he full of life, he was the source of life. I began to feel strangely relaxed. I had found a friend, the kind that I'd never had before and so urgently needed at the time."

The inaugural recital of the 'Maria Callas Experience' was given by soprano Majella Cullagh, who has worked with such distinguished conductors as: Jeremy Tate, Sir Charles Mackerras, and Richard Bonynge. She recently had a major triumph at London's Opera Holland Park as Elisabeth 1 in Donizetti's Roberto Devereux.
